Entering The 'G' Spot Maine
Each room in the house pays homage to Maine in some form, shape, or fashion. Either its history, its ancestors, its land, or its occupants (both human and non). The upper two levels of the home have nautical themes, whereas the basements' decor is all woodland man-cave-themed.
As you enter the house, there is a long hallway, which also sports the large laundry closet with full-size washer & dryer, iron/ironing board, cleaning supplies, broom/mop, &c..
The main floor offers a Queen master bedroom & Queen guest room, each with its own bathroom (the private master bath features a corner whirlpool tub).
With our custom-designed, open floor plan, all public rooms share amazing water views through the glass-filled prow wall windows & doors.

Master Bedroom & Master Bath
The Master Bedroom & Master Baths' Shorebird theme is simple and relaxing. While the queen-size bed is tall (high), there are bed steps located under each of the night tables.

The Guest Room
The Guest Bedrooms' whaling theme includes two reproduction circa 1810 portraits of (Sea) Captain John Murphy (originally from Baltimore) and his wife, Barbara Baker Murphy, as well as two authentic whaling tools - a harpoon and a lance. The double windows offer a quiet glimpse of the woods, where the deer often stroll in the evenings.

The Guest Bathroom
The Guest Bath is detached from the Guest Bedroom, but is only about three steps away. It has a ropes & knots theme and features a large antique buffet filled with necessities, as well as a large linen closet.

The Great Room/Kitchen/Dining
Our great room is truly a great room ~ 28' x 28' and 2.5 stories high ~ with a vaulted, ship-lapped ceiling and a cozy gas fireplace (a beautiful, red Vermont Castings propane stove is front & center on the prow wall, offering extra warmth on those chilly mornings/evenings). It offers an overall nautical theme with blue striped fabrics and kitschy rugs. A sizeable 50" TV can be viewed from anywhere within the great room or kitchen, making it easy to keep up with the days news or to watch a favorite movie from any vantage point.
The open, fully-stocked LOBSTER-themed kitchen features a large island, ample cabinetry with self-closing doors/drawers, top-of-the-line Whirlpool appliances, and beautiful quartz countertops throughout. Our oversized, rustic pine dining table offers seating for 10-12 people, in addition to the four barstools at the kitchen island. Plenty of room for everyone to eat lobster!

Loft (2nd Master Suite) with Private Bath
The spacious 18' x 21' loft is located at the top of the staircase via a sliding barn door and offers a wrought iron king-size bed, as well as an antique brass full-size bed.
We've completely redesigned the space as a 2nd Master Suite, with all new beds, bedding, linens & curtains. Since the theme has been tweaked a bit to 'air & sea travel', we've added some fun vintage travel posters, prints, books & decor.
The Loft also offers a Twin trundle & a toddler bed. Light & bright with MANY windows, decorated in a crisp olive green, red, white, and blue colour scheme, this might become your favorite room. Also on the loft level is a separate full bathroom (w/slipper soaking tub). The Loft's kraken-themed bathroom is a favorite of all who visit our 'spot'!

The Basements' multi-themed areas all focus on & pay homage to Maine's pristine woodlands. This oversized space is decorated in a 'deep woods Maine man cave' style, and is a wonderful place to sit & relax, read a book in front of the (2nd) Vermont Castings gas stove, play a game of poker/cards, darts, checkers/chess, shot glass roulette, corn hole, or take a nap in the cozy corner bedroom.
On this level you will find a Fishing theme in the half bath, a 4th bedroom (decorated in a retro Moose Lodge theme), and a Duck/Bear theme in the Rec Room, which features a 2nd Vermont Castings propane stove & stacked stone wall. Lots of duck decoys, moose, black bear, fishing decor & plaids (of course) help to give this space its retro-country lodge appeal.
We tried to cover just about everything ~ ha ha! Just think '1970s mountain cabin/lodge' and you'll be spot on! The basement offers ground-level water views (only 80 feet from the water) through the two large 8-foot sliders. You can even watch the deer stroll by. Still in-process is Mr. G's Army Special Forces (Green Beret) bar which is still awaiting careful placement of the 3-inch thick live-edge bar top.

Milbridge Ocean Tides Factoid
Milbridge experiences, on average, 11 to 14+ foot tidal shifts. If you are renting with us and you've arrived to find littel/no sea water in our cove or bay, please know that it's simply low tide and the beautiful blue ocean water WILL return shortly. Promise.
The further north that you travel, the great the tidal shift. Eastport Maine, for example, has a tidal shift of approximately 20-25 feet; whereas, the northernmost part of the Bay of Fundy (Canada, between New Brunswick & Nova Scotia) has a tidal shift of nearly 50 feet!!

Low vs High Tide at The 'G' Spot Maine

The larger of the two coves on the property. This one is a bit deeper (15'-18') at high tide and it is edged with large granite boulders, which are great for sunbathing at lower tidal levels. Careful though, as they are SUPER slick and careful footing is a must!

Please note how clean the Bay is! During low tide. There are no large rocks, stumps or trees lurking beneath the water. This makes for great kayaking or swimming.

Looking across our quiet, peaceful bay from the same basic shot, low vs high tides. There are less than a handful of houses in the whole area, so it's such a wonderful place to relax and unwind.
